Three different years will be in the spotlight in three different hour-long journeys:
1940 - Gone With The Wind, FDR, In the Mood
The distant drums of war begin to beat as Bugs Bunny, color television and nylon stockings were the talk of the nation. Glenn Miller, The Ink Spots and The Andrews Sisters are on the radio bringing Big Band to a new decade with songs like
When You Wish Upon A Star; Tuxedo Junction and
Beat Me Daddy Eight to the Bar.

1950 - Sunset Boulevard, The Lone Ranger, and Mona Lisa
In the beginning of the cold war, Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of Oz and Cinderella transported the country to a new beginning. James Dean launched his career, Minute Rice appeared on shelves, Peanuts debuted in the newspaper and Clue! first became a family obsession. Songs like Music!Music!Music! and That’s Amore! hit the airwaves.

1960 - Vietnam, The Sound of Music, and Mack the Knife
7 million people watch Kennedy debate Nixon, and the I Hate to Cook Book is published. Domino’s Pizza, Etch-a-Sketch, and Joan Baez all make their debuts, Ben-Hur wins the Academy Award and Arnold Palmer wins The US Open. Meanwhile, our transistor radios played Teen Angel and The Twist. Songs include Theme from A Summer Place; Save The Last Dance For Me; and Puppy Love.
