A 2010 Tony and Drama Desk Nominee for Best Actress in a Musical for her Broadway performance of Mother in the acclaimed Kennedy Center revival of RAGTIME.
Ms. Noll made her Broadway debut creating the role of Emma in the original production of JEKYLL & HYDE and has been living up to her reputation as being “one of the most versatile actresses in the American Musical Theatre.” She has guest soloed around the country and Europe with Marvin Hamlisch and The Dallas Symphony, The Pittsburgh Symphony, and The National Symphony as well as with Royston Nash and The Cape and Nashua Symphony Orchestras, Don Pippin and The Palm Beach Pops, Jerusalem Symphony and The St. Louis Symphony, as well as Peter Nero and The Philadelphia Pops. Solo CD’s, “CHRISTIANE NOLL – A BROADWAY LOVE STORY (Varese Sarabande Records), “LIVE AT THE WESTBANK CAFÉ”, (Car-Jam Records), an evening of jazz with long time friend and composer, jazz pianist David Budway, “THE IRA GERSHWIN ALBUM” (Fynsworth Alley) and MY PERSONAL PROPERTY. She supplied the singing-voice of Anna in the Warner Bros./Morgan Creek animated feature THE KING AND I and surprised audiences yet again when she returned to the Broadway stage starring in IT AIN’T NOTHIN’ BUT THE BLUES. In 2013 she portrayed the tragic Hannah Chaplin in CHAPLIN – THE MUSICAL on Broadway.
Christiane appeared on the London stage with the legendary Julie Andrews in THE GIFT ON MUSIC. Other theatrical credits include the out of town Broadway tryouts of the new musical THE MAMBO KINGS and THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK. In 2004 she performed the title role in Goodspeed Opera revival of Jerry Herman’s MACK AND MABEL and toured the United States in the Tony Award Winning Musical URINETOWN. Prior to that she performed the female lead in NEW MOON at City Center’s Encores! Series, THE BAKERS WIFE at The Goodspeed Opera House, supervised by its composer Stephen Schwartz and the new Krieger/Russell musical KEPT in its tryout run at Theatreworks in Palo Alto, CA.
